Dhaka, September 7, 2025 — To strengthen grassroots climate advocacy and elevate young voices on the national stage, Shikkha Shastha Unnayan Karzakram (SHISUK) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Seecto Bangladesh, the organizing body for the Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) Bangladesh 2025.
The formal agreement was executed in the presence of Sakiul Millat Morshed, Executive Director of SHISUK, and Md. Mahabul Alam Tamim, representing Seecto Bangladesh.
Cementing a Strategic Climate Partnership
As a key sponsor of LCOY Bangladesh 2025, SHISUK has been working shoulder-to-shoulder with Seecto Bangladesh to ensure the conference delivers actionable, youth-driven climate solutions. This newly signed MoU formalizes the collaborative relationship between the two organizations, establishing a unified framework to support and scale climate resilience initiatives across the country.
YLCA: Mobilizing Youth at the Grassroots
At the core of this expanding partnership is SHISUK’s dedicated youth organization, Youth Leading Climate Action (YLCA). Serving as an official youth associate organization for LCOY Bangladesh 2025, YLCA has taken a highly proactive role in the lead-up to the national conference.
The youth wing has already successfully organized and participated in a series of divisional and district-level consultations. By actively facilitating these localized youth statements, YLCA is ensuring that regional climate challenges and localized community perspectives are directly integrated into the national policy dialogue.
Through this formal alliance, SHISUK and Seecto Bangladesh anticipate a highly productive partnership, leveraging their combined resources and grassroots networks to empower the next generation of climate leaders.
